Responsible Gaming

TIPS FOR RESPONSIBLE GAMBLING

  • Practice responsible bankroll management when playing poker. Never bet more than you can afford to lose. Never bet your rent money or money you need to cover your day to day necessities.
  • Take advantage of poker sites’ self-exclusion and daily limit tools. This is where you can set an upper limit for how much money you’re allowed to bet and how much time you’re allowed to spend on the website, and/or exclude yourself from playing for a specific period of time.
  • Don’t try to win back money you have lost by playing higher stakes or continuing to play after you have exceeded your budget. This is called chasing your losses.
  • Don’t play poker or gamble when you are depressed, have had too much to drink, or if you have been using drugs.

PROTECTING MINORS

It is illegal for individuals under the age of 18 to gamble in most countries. In the rest, the minimum gambling age can be up to 21 years. If you play on a gambling website and live with minors who may have access to your desktop or mobile device, then you should ensure that they don’t have access to your account login credentials. Keep your username and password private and don’t enable auto-fill fields on any devices.
